West Lincoln's Carpenter signs with CVCC
Comments 0 | Recommend 0West Lincoln senior Bradley Carpenter signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.
Carpenter was named his team's most valuable pitcher after compiling a 9-4 record with a 2.17 ERA. He also earned All-Southern Piedmont 1A/2A Conference honors after helping the Rebels to a 12-4 league record for a second-place tie. Carpenter tossed a near no-hitter against Lincolnton, picked up a win against a strong 3A Kings Mountain team and pitched playoff victories against Central Davidson and Ledford.
At the plate, Carpenter accumulated six hits in four playoff games, including the game-winning RBI in the second round against West Stanly.
