East Gaston basketball star Cameron Sealey won’t have to play her final high school season wondering about her college future.

The senior has issued a verbal commitment to play at Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory. Sealey made her commitment Sept. 24 and will sign a binding national letter of intent in November.

Presbyterian and Wingate also recruited the 5-foot-6 guard and reigning Big South 3A/4A Conference player of the year.

Sealey averaged 15.7 points, 6.5 assists and 3.4 steals last season, leading the Warriors to a 22-4 record and their first regular-season conference title in nine years.

The three-sport star also excels in cross country and softball.
