Rebels' Martin signs with South Carolina-Upstate

West Lincoln senior Korey Martin has signed to play baseball at South Carolina-Upstate. Martin becomes the third Division I signee at West Lincoln and second in the last two seasons.

Martin, a pitcher/outfielder, has played varsity for four seasons, helping the Rebles to 10 playoff victories, back-to-back conference titles and the school's only regional appearances in 2006 and 2007.

This season, he's batting .492 with five home runs, 32 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. He's pitched two wins and one save in 5 2/3 innings.
