South Point senior Weston Lawing signed a national letter of intent to play baseball at Lander University.
Lawing, a two-time all-conference and All-Gazette pitcher, was the Red Raiders’ co-MVP last season after leading the Gazette area in innings pitched (74) and leading all area public schools in ERA (0.57). He struck out 73 batters and batted .279 with two home runs. Lawing holds a career ERA of 0.52.
