North Gaston senior Tyler Humphries signed a national letter of intent to play football at Wingate next season.

Humphries, a 6-foot, 150-pound wide receiver, ranked second in the second in Big South 3A Conference with 29 catches for 457 yards last season. He also scored a touchdown.

Wingate is an NCAA Division II school just east of Charlotte that competes in the South Atlantic Conference. The Bulldogs went 7-3 last season and 5-2 in the SAC.
