*Gaston Day 3, N.C. School for the Deaf 0 (25-22, 25-6, 25-12)

*Kings Mountain 3, Chase 0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-14) — Chasiti Falls posted 12 assists and four aces while Marshia Meeks had nine kills for the Mountaineers (3-0, 1-0 Southwestern 2A/3A) plays host today at 4:30 to Charlotte Country Day.

*Highland Tech 3, Bessemer City 0 (25-18, 25-17, 30-28) — Bry Robbins led the Rams with six aces, five kills, and three blocks while Hannah Beach recorded four aces and six assists. Mary Sigmon posted 15 service points for Highland Tech (1-1, 1-0 Southern Piedmont 1A/2A), which plays host today to Forestview.

*East Gaston 3, South Point 1 (17-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-18) — Blair Collier had 31 assists, 11 digs and 4 kills to lead the Warriors in a road win. Callie Vellers had 6 kills and 3 aces while Lynne O’Donoghue added 4 kills and four aces. East Gaston (1-3, 1-0 BS3A) plays today at Hopewell.

JV volleyball

*Highland Tech 2, Bessemer City 1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-17) — Bridgette Atkinson recorded 22 service points for the Rams (1-1, 1-0).
