Ashbrook plans all-sports kickoff event
Ashbrook High School’s athletic boosters club is sponsoring a free beach-themed event to promote its sports programs to the community on Thursday, July 29 at 6 p.m. All current and potential athletes of the school are invited to “Catch the Wave at the All Sports Kickoff” held at Ashbrook Stadium at 2222 South New Hope Road.
The event will include free hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks, beach-themed games, door prizes, music, an opportunity to meet the Ashbrook coaches and other fun activities. Coaches will greet guests at stations throughout the event and will be formally introduced as part of the event in the football stadium.
Current and future Ashbrook students, their parents and other supporters are encouraged to attend with their families, including younger siblings. A chance to play games, including volleyball, bocce ball and more, typically played during a day at the beach, will be offer to all guests. Friends and families will also get a chance to have their photo taken “on the beach.”
In addition, the Booster Club will make the remaining PSLs for the 2010 Greenwave football season available at the event. The PSLs include selection of prime seating, a VIP parking pass, express lane at the concessions stand and other perks. The cost is $75 per seat.
Members of the booster club will be available to answer questions for those interested in participating in the club and members of the athletic department will be available to answer questions about the upcoming sports seasons. Membership in the Boosters Club is free.
