Crest sweeps Big South's top softball awards
After running the table in the Big South 3A Conference, the Crest softball team claimed both of the league’s top postseason honors.
Pitcher Bailey Smith was selected player of the year while Greg Earl was named coach of the year in voting by the league’s head coaches.
Crest led the 21-player all-conference team with seven selections. North Gaston, South Point and Hunter Huss each placed three on the team.
