East Gaston catcher inks with St. Andrews

East Gaston senior Megan Soots signed a national letter of intent to play softball at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg.

Soots is a four-year varsity starter at catcher. She has earned all-conference honors three times and has received the school’s Warrior and Best Offensive Player awards. Soots also plays tournament softball for the N.C. Sundevils Elite team, which played in the USA Amateur Softball Association nationals this past summer.

St. Andrews competes in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas.
