Forestview running back chosen for all-star game

Forestview’s Kevin Jeter will be Gaston County’s lone representative in the East-West All-Star Football Game this summer.
The 5-foot-6, 145-pound running back made the 32-player West roster released Monday. Jeter rushed for 1,479 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, helping Forestview share the Big South Conference title and win a playoff game for the first time in school history.
The senior-only all-star game is scheduled for July 21 in Greensboro. The West head coach is East Burke’s Jim Ruark, formerly head coach at East Lincoln and Myers Park.
