Playoff results: Defeated Kannapolis Brown 63-50, Harding 77-62 and Hickory Ridge 59-49 in the sectionals, then rallied past Asheville Erwin 50-45 in the regional semifinals.

Notes: Singletery is being recruited at the Division II and low-Division I level. Payne knocked down seven 3-pointers in Wednesday’s win, including five in a four-minute stretch. Both of North Iredell’s losses came in close games against Lake Norman. North Iredell won Western Regional championships in 1984, 1987, 1990 and 1993.
